So I get the question all the time, is Instagram a good social media platform or is it dead ?
The short and true answer is... no, it's not dead. And it wont be for a while.
The Social media market is worth over $200 Billion...
As long as Meta as a company continues to be one of the largest social media companies in the world, the market will continue to grow for Instagram. You can bet that in 2023, you can still drive an insane amount of traffic and sales through Instagram, and it can be done organically.
So how does one start driving sales on Instagram? Well it has to do with your niche but it also has to a lot to do with the content you post. In almost every niche in the market there are pages and websites that make tons of sales through the traffic they produce online. Even our page @xpointagency with only 10,000 followers still drives sales when we put focus towards our content.
If you want to make sales, there has to be engagement, but there also has to be a solid funnel. Then you are going to want to be able to catch the retention of traffic on your Instagram, because you never know when the traffic might die down.
Driving sales on Instagram is a delicate dance that requires both engagement and a solid sales funnel made with exact planning. You see, it's not just about getting people to like and comment on your posts; it's about guiding them through a well-crafted journey, from initial interest to becoming loyal customers. To achieve this, a carefully designed sales funnel is crucial. A captivating post should lead to a powerful call-to-action, driving potential customers to your website, landing page, or product page. From the data you collect, you will notice there will be a trend in the product sales and exact conversions driving your sales, now that is when you can get into the precise organic posts that drive sales.
But before you use organic posts to drive sales, you’ll want to make a few payments to Meta for paid advertising on your best posts. This will allow your Instagram to gather even more target audience for your page.
You need to create a traffic circulation around your page in order to drive sales online. This will allow you to create an engine that puts out content and receives traffic and sales.
Create a traffic circulation:
- Post daily content and story
- Update your story highlights
- Create a brand guideline
- Build engagement routines (like, comment, post, share)
When you stick to a routine it shows Instagram that you are a super-user, which allows you to generate more traffic based on active posts. This is something that you will see when influencers or brands that post quality content seem to be gaining even when they do not post for a prolonged period of time.
Create FOMO but don't be FAKE:
- Post authentic content that will inform users
- Post shocking and entertaining content that grabs time
- Deliver value to your followers through posts and free events

We worked with the brand @tripscout and @hotel in the past month. They came to us with an issue of branding and requiring high traffic engagement on ads. They had been posting in the 2000 like range for the past month without increase.
